Description:    This formula is a modification of Yi Gan San (Repress the Liver Powder) originally found in Yang Shi-ying\\\'s Song dynasty Ren Chai Zhi Zhi Fang (Compassionate & Abstemious Straight Guiding Formulas). The original formula is indicated for excitability, nervousness, and irritability. Modifications are by Bob Flaws. When Modified, this formula can also be seen as a version of Xiao Yao San (Rambling Powder).

While Chuan Xiong helps rectify the qi and also guides all the other medicinals upwards to the head and brain, in children this medicinal seems to have a spirit-quieting effect. When all these medicinals are used together, their effect is to harmonize the liver and spleen, clear heat and quiet the spirit, transform phlegm and benefit the intelligence.

He Huan Pi (Cortex Albiziae); Ye Jiao Teng (Caulis Polygoni Multiflori); Gou Teng (Ramulus Uncariae Cum Uncis); Fu Ling (Poria); Chuan Xiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong); Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri); Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae); Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis); Huang Qin (Radix Scutellariae); Ban Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae); Shi Chang Pu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii); Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae)

Dosage:    A dose of 2-3 droppers 3-4 times per day should be adequate for children 3-4 years old. This dose may be increased to 3-4 droppers 3-4 times per day for children 5-6 and so on up from there
